We are over half way done with our time here and it doesn’t feel like that at all. All the moving and flying and not being able to settle down has made time go by so fast. Its been a blast though. Last week I spent a lot of time with the youth in CCF Alabang and CCF Paranaque. I hung out a lot with the kids of one of the pastors there – Pastor George Ngan. Pastor George and his family were so much fun. They even invited me to spend a night with them. They were extremely welcoming and hospitable. I was able to relate to his son Geoshua the most. He’s the youngest of three like me, 21, and has a strong ambition to attend TMS. This past Monday we arrived at Camiguin at around 7am and started teaching a couple hours later. Pastor had taught Hermeneutics Monday to Wednesday with the pastors there. We had a good team with us. Those individuals were Kuya Bobby, his son Bambi, Tita Edith, Kuya Romy, the Morales family including Tita Edith, her husband Kuya Dick, and their daughter Karla. We had a lot of fun with that group. I spent most of the time hanging out and getting to know Bambi and Karla. Bambi is a smart, very talkative and very funny 13 year old. Karla is a student at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. She’s my age, 20, funny and someone that I could really relate with. Every day after the sessions were done we would go out and explore the island. We saw the “Old Church Ruins” a church that the Spanish built when they were here, we went to a beach and to a hot springs. I loved being at Camiguin I will definitely come again. Pastor taught Spiritual Disciplines today at CCF Pakati and will conclude tomorrow. We leave Sunday morning for Zambuanga and we’ll be there for a week. God has been so gracious to us! Everywhere we go we’re well taken care of. Keep praying! Soli Deo Gloria!
